AS Cumbrian farmers head towards the closing date for the Defra ELMS consultation the National Farmers Union in the North West have organised a final webinar.

NFU North West Webinar - ELMS update and what it could mean for your business will be held on Monday July 27 at 12.30pm, via a Microsoft Teams Live Event. The aim of the webinar is to give members in the region the chance to hear about the consultation and encourage them to respond directly to Defra to make sure that they get as many responses from farmers as possible.The webinar will give an outline of the scheme, highlight the proposed structure and payment methodology and importantly highlight the timeline and the proposals for the transition away from BPS to ELMS, focusing on what this could potentially mean to farm businesses access the region.If anyone would like to join the call then e-mail louise.dobson@nfu.org.uk

The NFU Lancashire Farming Ambassadors have launched The Great Lancashire Litter Hunt with the aim of clearing up 500 miles of the Red Rose countryside. Visit the website, track how many miles of Lancashire countryside have been tidied up by farmers and donate to the North West Air Ambulance.
