A COLLEGE radio station has secured an exclusive interview with one of BBC Radio One's most popular DJs.
Workington Academy Radio broadcast the interview with The Radio 1 Breakfast Show host Greg James on Wednesday.
"I'm jealous that you've got a radio show at your school, I wish I had one. We barely had classrooms," he told the station.
Offering advice to budding radio enthusiasts, he said: "My advice would be just to enjoy it firstly, and most importantly make sure you are enjoying what you are creating and have an enjoyable time - because the chances are if you are enjoying it and you're finding it interesting and exciting, then the listeners to it will find it interesting and exciting.
"Also, don't be afraid of being passionate about something and following through with that passion. Don't be scared of being called a nerd for knowing things about radio."
