A CUMBRIAN organisation is set to benefit from £3000 funding from the Newcastle Building Society.

Cumbria Family Support is one of 14 organisations across the north east, Cumbria, and north Yorkshire that will receive a grant from the Newcastle Building Society Community Fund.

The money will be used by the charity to licence and purchase an electronic tool that will help it highlight which families are in need of support.

Andrew Haigh, chief executive at Newcastle Building Society, said: “Vulnerable people right across our region have been hit hard by the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, which is why it’s vital that we continue to support our communities during some of the most difficult times they’ll ever face."

In total, it has donated £35,000 to organisations and charities in a bid to support communities affected by coronavirus.
