Copeland Age and Advice Service CIC team is considering providing a free digital enabling service to clients.
Skilled IT volunteers would support people with help in using a variety of electronic items.
This would include laptops, tablets, mobile phones, Smartphones, fitness devices, and health and mobility devices.
Help would be given in setting up and receiving emails and on how to use a Smartphone, such as setting up a social media account for keeping in touch with friends or family, video calling, watching TV or films online, listening to music, or to find communities for interests, playing games, setting up apps or for reading.
They would also offer advice on how to browse the web, set up bank accounts and how to pay bills and stay safe online.
Volunteers from the team will contact their clients to see if people are interested in the digital service and in getting involved.
Any concerns or questions can be handled by the team on 01946 552166.
