ORGANISERS behind one of Cumbria’s best-loved music festivals are working hard to ensure this year’s event can go ahead.
Wannasee Penrith 2020 could still go ahead on its original dates - August 28-30 - says the team which runs the event.
Following the Government announcement that outdoor performances can now go ahead, organisers took to Facebook to share their latest plans with festival-goers.
“We are in intense talks with Eden Council to ensure that we can bring you a safe, Covid-secure and accessible event once again,” it said in a post.
“We’ll keep everyone updated but we are fully committed at this point that the festival will take place, subject to the ability to agree the required steps to make it as safe as possible.”
