There was another full entry sheet at Seascale Golf Club for Wednesday’s Mixed Tee Stableford which attracted 176 members in fair conditions.

Tom Sharpe (4) took the division one honours with 45pts, followed by John James Banks (9)42, Lewis Baker (6)41 and Tim Goddard (9) also on 41pts.

Jackie Wroe’s 43 off 14 was enough to win him division two from Stephen Otto Hodgson (12)42, then came James Hocking (11)41 and Mathew Risk (10) with the best 40pts.

The best was still to come as Henry Campbell (32) with a massive 49pts took division three by storm, losing six shots off his handicap in the process.

Paul Grundill (18)42 claimed second spot with Thomas Pearson (29)41 third and David Raynor (20)40, fourth. The competition yielded 14 twos and Richard Huby got a hole-in-one at the 13th.

The gales returned for Sunday’s Monthly Medal with showers added in the afternoon which gave a 22 per cent non-return rate. With a remarkable gross 75 in the conditions, Mark Lee (8)67 won the first division by seven shots.

This was followed by four 74s where countback gave Mark Jacques (7), Nick Blair (8) and Keith Hunt (9) second, third and fourth respectively.

Andy Lloyd (12)71 topped division two then David Woodend (13)72, Graeme Borrowdale (10)74 and Ralph Jacklin (14)76.
