A MAN in his thirties was left with a stomach wound after an alleged stabbing in Carlisle.
Cumbria Constabulary say they were called at around 12.40am yesterday to the report of an assault on Winscale Way.
A police spokesman said: "During the incident the victim, a man in his 30s, received a minor injury to his abdomen, suspected of being caused by a sharp instrument.
"A 21-year-old man from Carlisle was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and released under investigation."
