A further collision has taken place on the M6 this evening, blocking two lanes of the southbound carriageway.
The accident took place between junction 40 at Penrith and junction 39 at Shap.
Traffic is reportedly "coping well", though it is understood there has been a speed restriction of 40mph set in the area.
