COMMUNITY groups supporting the elderly during the pandemic are encouraged to apply for a grant of up to £1000.
Each month, Persimmon Homes gives two donations of up to £1000 to a range of different community groups across Cumbria, however during the pandemic the focus has been on those that support the elderly in their community.
It is part of the housebuilder's community champion scheme.
John Roocroft, managing director of Persimmon Homes Lancashire, said: “We have always believed in supporting the communities where we build, especially grassroot activities, and we hope people understand our desire to support specifically the over-70s, a vulnerable and often isolated group in our society, who we feel need our support."
Groups that are interested in applying for the grant should complete an application form online. The form can be found on the Persimmon Homes website.
