A THIRTY-five-year-old man has appeared before a Carlisle court charged with possessing child abuse images and extreme pornography.
Gary Little, of Regent Street, Currock, Carlisle, is alleged to have downloaded 73 indecent images of children on dates between April 28 last and December 30 last year. Thirteen of the images are assessed as category B – the second most serious class of such images.
The remainder of the images are categories as Class C.
The extreme pornography charge relates to two images which Little is said to have possessed on January 16. They involve sex between people and animals, according to prosecution papers. District Judge Gerald Chalk committed the case to Carlisle Crown Court.
Little is due to appear there on July 7.
He is likely to formally enter his pleas on that day.
In the meantime, the court ruled that he must have no unsupervised contact with any child.
