Another high-street shop is set to close its doors this month, with many employees losing their jobs.
Poundland, on King Street, Whitehaven, will be permanently closed on June 20 due to "high rent and lack of sales", and 13 store employees face redundancy.
Until its closure, all stock is being offered at a reduced price.
The store manage posted the announcement on social media, saying: "It is with a heavy heart I inform you all that this store is closing on June 20 permanently.
"This decision has been made because of high rent and rates and a lack of sales, resulting in insufficient profit."
They continued: "We know the impact of this decision is big for the 6,000 weekly customers we serve, but it is giant for the 13 store employees and our families.
"We hope you wish us all the best in the future.
"It has been a delight to serve you all."
