AN ONLINE talk will reveal the hidden extent of plastic pollution at the bottom of our oceans.

Dr Alan Jamieson, a deep sea scientist, will attend an online Q& A next Friday that is hosted by Amy Bray, a Cumbrian environmentalist.

The session is an opportunity to learn more about the impact that plastic pollution has on the oceans, even in the deepest parts.

Dr Jamieson will discuss his experiences of leading deep-sea expeditions as well as discussing the international recognition he has received for his work.

He has been featured on BBC's Blue Planet 2 among other popular shows.

Amy Bray, the founder of environmental charity Another Way, will be putting the public's questions to Dr Jamieson.

The talk will take place on June 12 at 7pm on the online meeting platform Zoom.
