MOUNTAIN rescuers were called to help a cyclist with reported head injuries who crashed on a mountain pass in the Lake District.
Eight members of Keswick Mountain Rescue Team responded to the incident on Friday at about 4pm.
The cyclist had crashed at a bridge on his descent from Honister Pass towards Buttermere.
He was assessed at the scene before being taken to hospital. Fortunately he was wearing a helmet and hadn't sustained significant injuries.
