A 40-YEAR-OLD man was attacked by two men outside a church in Whitehaven say police.
The incident, which was described as a "serious assault", took place in early March, outside the United Reform Church, James Street, Whitehaven.
The victim is unsure of the date but believes it was a Friday.
Police are on the look-out for the two men.
A spokesman for Cumbria Constabulary said: "A 40-year-old local man reported he was pulled to the floor by two men and attacked.
"One man is described to be in his 20s, white short dark hair, around 6ft tall, stocky build and wearing dark clothing.
"The second man is said to be in his 30s, white, short dark hair, 6ft 1in tall, average build and wearing dark clothing.
"Both men spoke with a local accent."
