KEEPING fit and healthy during lockdown can be tricky, but we've got some tips to help you along.

Above we have a healthy recipe for a bean burrito. The ingredients for this meal are as follows:

  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1/4 tomato
  • One whole wheat tortilla
  • 100g kidney beans
  • 45g of corn
  • 60g of low fat cheddar cheese (shredded/grated
  • Two tbsps of salsa.

Directions:

1. Dice or chop tomato.

2. Heat kidney beans until warmed through (optional).

3. Stuff tortilla with kidney beans, corn, tomato and shredded cheese. Add sliced jalapenos for a spicy kick.

4. Heat in the toaster, oven or microwave until cheese is melted, or serve cold.

5. Slice or mash avocado, adding a little lime juice if you like.

6. Serve burrito with salsa.

Shoulder press:

  • With two weights, stand straight with your legs apart, arms opened outward at 90 degrees, shoulders down, pull your tummy in and push arms to the ceiling and then bring them back down to the starting position.
  • Repeat 10 times using steady, controlled movements.
  • Increase the number of repetitions as you progress. This can also be done in a chair if needed.
  • Keep your back straight with your shoulders down whilst keeping your tummy tight.

Use items such as tinned food or water bottles as weights saving you money and giving you variety in weights.
