The NHS in Dumfries & Galloway have launched a phone app to help support people in distress and affected by suicide.
The Prevent Suicide Dumfries Galloway app has been officially launched as part of Mental Health Awareness Week which runs to Sunday.
It’s available to download for free on any smartphone online at the appstore.
The aim of the tool to help people find access to help.
In 2018, 19 people died by suicide across Dumfries and Galloway but many more people who are either experiencing or know someone who is having thoughts of suicide.
It’s funded through Dumfries & Galloway Alcohol & Drug Partnership.
