Firefighters were called to help a deer that was trapped in a fence this morning.
Crews from Carlisle East and West stations were called just after 7am after a report came in about the distressed animal.
The deer had managed to get stuck in the fence at the cemetery on Dalston Road.
Using spreaders they managed to free the deer.
Firefighters then left the wild animal in the hands of the vets.
