Cumbria police have arrested a taxi driver from Halifax after an axe and cocaine were found in the car.
In the south of the county near Newby Bridge officer stopped the driver and passenger early this morning.
Both the driver and passenger were arrested, one for breaching his restraining order and both for possession of an axe and a large quantity of cocaine.
A spokesman for Cumbria police said: " A taxi from Halifax was stopped on the A590 dual carriageway near Newby Bridge.
"After a lengthy chat with the driver and passenger, they were both arrested."
