Recreational flying is once again allowed from Carlisle Lake District Airport for aircraft based at the site, following the Government's slight relaxation of the lockdown rules.
As with other airports across the country, Carlisle Lake District Airport had grounded all flights in order to help slow the spread of the virus.
However, according to an airport spokesman, now that the "latest advice" from the Government states that recreational flying is now once again permitted in England, private pilots with aircraft based at the site are again able to take to the skies from Carlisle Lake District Airport.
