POLICE seized a motorist's 'pride and joy' after it was found to not be insured.
Cumbria Roads Police spotted the car on the M6 near Burton-in-Kendal services on Friday night.
Officers revealed the motorist had driven from Scotland to pick up the car.
They then discovered the vehicle did not have tax or insurance.
They said on Twitter: "Driver of this vehicle was on his way home to Kirkcaldy having just purchased his pride and joy in Nottingham. Unfortunately for him he had failed to purchase insurance or tax the vehicle which has now been seized."
