We’re expecting to see a downturn in income due to cancelled fundraising activity, however we have been so impressed by the resilience of the public to adapt and set their own challenges to support us.

From cycling 1,000 miles in a garage to walking/running 8km a day in May, the public continues to find inventive ways to help.

One young girl who has caught our attention is seven-year-old Jessica Warner from Penrith who has raised more than £700 for GNAAS after cycling all 333 streets in her town.

She originally set out with the goal of cycling all of the northern streets of Penrith during her daily exercise but decided to really challenge herself and increased her goal to cover all of them.

Jessica had only just started to cycle on the open roads when lockdown commenced, although she is a seasoned cyclist on off-road tracks.

She chose to support GNAAS because she often sees our helicopter flying overhead on its way to help someone.
