Four more patients have died from coronavirus in Cumbria, updated figures show.

The latest Covid-19 statistics released by NHS England show another four coronavirus-related deaths have been confirmed in the past 24 hours at North Cumbria Integrated Care Foundation Trust, which operates The Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle and West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven.

These deaths include one for May 14, May 13 as well as May 7 and 8.

At University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay Foundation Trust, which manages Furness General Hospital in Barrow and Lancaster Royal Infirmary, no more patients were reported to have died.

It can take some time to confirm that a person's death was related to Covid-19, and these were the latest confirmed deaths.

Overall in England, a further 186 patients who tested positive for coronavirus have died bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 24,345.
