Since the coronavirus pandemic has caused numerous estate agents to close their doors temporarily, many locals will be struggling to sell their homes on the market for a reasonable price.

However, Auction House Cumbria, a leading UK auctioneer company, is vowing to not let sellers down during this difficult time.

The company's first online auction took place in mid-April, featuring an astounding 176 bidders and 94% successful sell rate selling 30 properties out of 34 offered.

Auction House Cumbria’s team accept listings from lots across the whole of Cumbria.

The company specialises in a range of properties, from residential to commercial, and is eager to lend its helpful advice to first-time sellers and buyers.

How you can get involved if you're looking to buy a home

Instead of holding its usual live auction at Carlisle Racecourse, Auction House will be streaming a series of web auctions during the ongoing lockdown. This will give attendees the chance to bid on properties safely from the comfort of their own home, while staying in line with government social distancing measures.

All of the firm's web auctions are completely secure to enter, with only pre-registered members being allowed access. To sign up, you can download an Auction House bidding form online.

The company's last online auction saw over 170 registered bidders, who had the option to bid either via phone, proxy or internet. If you want to receive the company's next auction catalogue ahead of time, then you can request this on the Auction House website and also sign-up for e-mail updates.

Due to the ongoing quarantine, buyers will no longer be able to physically view their properties of interest before placing a bid. However, Auction House provide potential buyers with 360-degree viewing tools and video walk-throughs, which allow them to see the interior of a lot virtually.

If you want to sell your house, flat or shop, you can enter the lot for auction on the company's website. You're also entitled to a free property valuation from a member of the Auction House team.

The Auction House team have also been working from home to ensure that every stage of the buying and selling process can be completed remotely.

Auctioneer and director Colin West said: "Auction House can provide the platform for buyers and sellers to complete an unconditional exchange of contracts. A legal pack is available for each property sale, allowing the buyer to complete their due diligence."
