Multiple crews were called to property fire.

Yesterday at about 1pm, fire crews from Penrith, Kirkby Stephen and Lazonby fire stations attended a fire on the u3211 from the c3065 to the c3004 at Appleby-in-Westmorland.

The fire is said to have involved a property and crews used eight breathing apparatus, one hosereel, one thermal imaging camera, one jet and a positive pressure ventilation unit to extinguish the fire.

The fire service were in attendance for two hours and five minutes.

A spokesman for Lazonby Fire Station said: "Breathing apparatus crews from Lazonby and Kirkby Stephen quickly and safely tackled the fire and ventilated before returning back to station."
