The team from a Carlisle-based financial planning firm has donated essential supplies to two local charities.
Staff of Stan Sherlock Associates have donated bags of groceries, toiletries and cleaning supplies to Carlisle Foodbank and Carlisle Key, which provides support to 16 to 25-year-olds who are homeless or are at risk of being homeless.
Emma Sherlock, chief operating officer of Stan Sherlock Associates, said: “Many families and local people have suddenly found themselves without an income because of coronavirus.
"While the Government’s support measures have been welcomed, there are still many people who have been missed and are struggling to manage their day-to-day costs.
“Our team is amazing, and thanks to them and the investment we’ve made in the right technology and systems, we are able to continue working without meeting our clients face-to-face.
"They recognised, however, that many others aren’t as fortunate and wanted to help.”
Director Bobby Sherlock added: “While so many local people are working long hours in key businesses to help look after us all, we also wanted to give something back. Doing our bit, however small, is the right thing to do as a local family firm.”
