As the double bank holiday arrives the big question on many people’s minds is when do the bins get collected?

We’ve put together a list of what changes will be.

In Carlisle refuse and recycling collections will be a day later than usual following the Easter Monday Bank Holiday the collection dates are as follows:

Good Friday - As normal.

Easter Monday- Collecting Tuesday, April 14.

Collections return to normal from Monday, April 18 onwards.

For Allerdale bins due to be collected on Good Friday, April 10, will be collected as normal. However, with effect from Easter Monday, April 13, bins will be collected one day later throughout the week – with those which would normally be collected on Friday, April 17 collected on Saturday, April 18 instead.

The suspension of garden waste collections due to the coronavirus remains in force.

Copeland Council is informing residents of its Bank Holiday weekend arrangements for refuse collection.

Household recycling and waste collections scheduled on Good Friday will be collected as normal.

All collections scheduled for the week April 13 (Easter Monday) will be one day later than normal.

This includes a Saturday collection for those due on Friday, April 17.

Residents are being reminded that the garden waste collections have not resumed due to staffing levels in relation to the current pandemic.

All Copeland Council offices, The Beacon, Distington Hall Crematorium offices and Chapel of Remembrance, will remain closed to the public as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.

In the Eden Valley, the blue bag collections will take place on Good Friday and Easter Monday from 6am.
