A POWER cut has affected dozens of homes during the Coronavirus lockdown.
The incident was reported by Electricity North West at 6.50am this morning.
It affects properties in the Whitehaven area postcode CA26.
According to the firm's website its was caused "by an unexpected problem with the underground electricity cables that provide electricity to the properties."
At 5pm the company said that 26 properties were involved but also reported that staff were at the site of the problem trying to deal with it.
It gave an estimated time of solving the problem as 8.30pm this evening.
The News & Star asked the company for a comment but they were unable to respond before the publication deadline.
