FEARS have been raised after a 'To Let' sign appeared above a city centre store.
The sign has recently appeared above the Cotswold outdoor store on English Street, Carlisle.
London based estate agent HRH Retail is handling the process.
On its website it states that the store is: "Occupying a prime trading location within pedestrianised English Street immediately adjacent to Yours and Clydesdale Bank with multiple retailers nearby including Boots, Marks & Spencer’s, River Island & WHSmith.
"The premises are arranged over ground, first and second floors.
"The property is available on a new effectively full repairing and insuring lease for a term to be agreed at a commencing rent of £85,000 per annum exclusive."
The shop is currently closed because of the Coronavirus lockdown.
The News & Star has contacted the retailer and estate agent about the future of the store but have not yet received any comment.
