Cumbria police have thanked the public for abiding by the government lockdown rules.
Officers patrolling Carlisle city centre and Workington town centre found the streets to be empty.
In a post on Facebook they said: "A massive thank you to all those who stayed at home yesterday.
"You'll be helping the NHS, yourselves and your family by keeping everywhere as quiet as this today. We're all in this together."
