Four more people have sadly died as a result of coronavirus across the county.
Figures just released show that four more lives were claimed in the two hospitals ran by North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust - which runs the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle and the West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven.
The trust recorded four deaths, one on Monday and three yesterday.
Meanwhile, the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust - which operates Furness General Hospital in Barrow - recorded two deaths on Monday and three yesterday.
