CHILDREN and their families have been using art to shed some light during this time of darkness.
Youngsters have been using their time away from studies to spread a message of love to those feeling lonely during a time of isolation and lockdown due to coronavirus.
Posters, decorations and chalk drawings are among the ways children have been trying to put a smile on the faces of people in the community.
Georgia Lewis (right), aged nine, from Cockermouth, is among those who has been taking part in the initiative across the county.
She has been creating a rainbow to be be displayed in the window.
“Everything will be okay” is the message of six-year-old Ella, from Workington.
She made a multi-colour poster containing a rainbow, smiling faces and the above message.
Cora, aged 6, of Workington, shows off her colourful rainbow of hands that she created to display in the window of her home (bottom right).
Also taking part is Georgia Lewis, 9, who is pictured (right) creating her rainbow in Cockermouth.
She hopes it will bring some positivity in a challenging time.
Meanwhile, going for something a bit different was Imogen, aged 4, of Seaton.
She has coloured the pavement near her home and is pictured (below middle) showing off her creation for the whole area to see.
Five-year-old Oscar also created a vibrant rainbow at his Workington home.
