A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent after an incident outside a Cumbrian pub.

Police are investigating an allegation of a serious grievous bodily harm assault, which they say took place shortly after 8pm on March 18 outside The Pinny on Burrowgate in Penrith.

The alleged attack is said to have involved two men aged 51 and 45 - the latter suffered injuries to his leg.

A 51-year-old man from Penrith was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and released under investigation.
