A family-run business is doing its bit to support the NHS amid the coronavirus crisis.
The Old Ginn House Inn in Great Clifton is offering four of its rooms for free to NHS staff.
Owner David Pratt said: “Because we’re shutting things down and with the things that are happening in the country and globally, we thought we’d offer help in any way we can and this is something we can do.”
A post on the business’ s Facebook page announcing the move was shared hundreds of times and received widespread support from the community.
Three nurses are currently staying in the ‘quiet block’ of the inn, meaning they are able to rest between busy shifts.
David said: “Some NHS staff have to keep away from their family to avoid spreading the virus so this is what we could do for them so they can keep helping people.
“They can’t use the bar or restaurant as they are closed, but they told us they’re very grateful for what we are doing.”
