DUE to the current situation with the Covid-19 pandemic the Lake District Osprey Project had no choice but to suspend indefinitely.
A spokesman for the project said: "Given the current health emergency and guidance from the government on social distancing, unfortunately we must postpone the start of LDOP indefinitely and monitor the situation moving forward.
"This means that Dodd Wood view points will not be open."
The car park, toilets and Old Sawmill tearoom are also currently closed.
Whinlatter VC, all of the car parks, Siskins cafe, and Cyclewise are also closed.
The spokesman continued: "We will update our website and social media channels with osprey news when we can and we urge all of our follows and supporters to stay at home and wait for an update."
