A 75-year-old man is in hospital after being hit by a car.
The pensioner was crossing Thornhill in Johnstone when he was struck by a Mercedes being driven by a 60-year-old man at around 4.35pm on Friday.
He was taken by ambulance to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley, where medical staff describe his condition as stable.
Police are appealing for information about the incident in the Renfrewshire town.
Constable Steven Kirkwood said: "Our inquiries are continuing into this crash and I would appeal to any witnesses, or anyone who was driving on the road at the time who has dash cam to contact us, as they may have information that will assist our ongoing investigation."
