A BAND coming to the Carlisle Blues Rock Festival this year recently released a new album.

Climax Blues Band were formed in 1968, but are still going strong and in 2019 released Hands Of Time, their first studio album of original songs since Drastic Steps in 1987.

Hands Of Time went straight to the top of Amazon downloads and to No. 3 in the iTunes Blues chart.

Graham Dee is a larger than life front man who holds the audience in the palm of his hand. His amazing vocal range sets him apart from the field and he is quite happy to go walkabout in the audience to spread the joy. Chris Aldridge plays the saxaphone, the rhythm unit is Roy Adams and Neil Simpson, Climax veteran George Glover plays the keyboard, and Les Hunt is the guitarist.

The band released a live album, Security Alert, in 2015 delighting old and new fans alike throughout the UK and Europe. Roy Wood of ELO and Wizzard fame mixed the live album.

The blues festival runs from October 2 to 4. Go to www.carlislebluesfestival.com
