A man has been fined and banned for driving after taking drugs.
Carl Kaleinikas, of Cross Howe, Broughton Cross near Cockermouth, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of cannabis when he appeared at Workington magistrates' court on Friday.
The 35-year-old was caught driving a Vauxhall Astra after taking the controlled drug on the B5300 at Allonby on August 24.
Kaleinikas was fined £120 for the offence, and disqualified from driving or holding a licence for 12 months.
He was also instructed to pay a victim surcharge of £32 and £85 court costs.
