There has been a marked decrease in the flood risk posed to Cumbria this morning.
Despite the national picture being one of extreme concern - 102 flood warnings and two severe warnings are in place across England this morning - the number of alerts for Cumbria has reduced dramatically from levels seen in previous days.
There are currently four flood alerts and one warning in place for the whole county.
For the past few days, the number has hovered around 12 flood alerts.
However, this morning the River Eden is no longer posing a flood risk to communities across the county, with all of the flood alerts for the Carlisle, Wetheral, Armathwaite, Penrith and Appleby areas removed this morning.
The alerts that are still in place cover the Windermere and Broughton-in-Furness areas, as well as Keswick, Cockermouth and Buttermere.
The one flood warning still in place is for Keswick campsite.
