A car travelling along the A69 left the road and hit a wall, prompting an emergency services response.
The incident took place near Corby Hill, at about 11.55pm on Friday night.
A spokesman for Carlisle east fire station said: "Carlisle east were mobilised to reports of a road traffic collision on the A69 near to Corby Hill.
"A car had left the road, and hit a wall.
"There was nobody physically trapped in the vehicle, but the crew provided assistance and lighting for the ambulance service, and made the vehicle safe."
