The principal road leading into Carlisle's Rickerby Park has been closed due to the risk of flooding posed by the River Eden this evening.
Cumbria County Council, the authority responsible for roads in Cumbria have taken the decision to close the road leading from Brampton Road into Rickerby Park as a result of the flood risk from the River Eden.
The council is reporting that the River Eden may flood "later this evening".
