YET ANOTHER weather warning has been issued for parts of the region.

The Met Office has said that further flooding is possible in the warning covering covering the Scottish borders, Dumfries and Gretna -with a further possibility that Carlisle could also be affected.

It runs from 2pm today, Wednesday, February 19 until 11am tomorrow.

A spokesman from the Met Office said: "Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely.

"Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer.

"Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer."

A yellow weather has already been issued for south and central Cumbria - as an Atlantic weather system is expected to hit northwest England.

The Met Office, with predicted rainfall totals of between 70mm and 100mm between 6pm today and 3pm on Thursday, February 20.
