POLICE are on look-out for two late-night lurkers in hoodies after a woman was grabbed in a quiet residential street.

Investigators say the woman was grabbed and pushed by two men who they describe as "middle eastern" in appearance.

The incident happened at about12.15am on Harvey Street, Carlisle on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at approximately 12.15am on Harvey Street, Carlisle.

A spokesman for Cumbria Police said: "Two unknown men have followed a woman in her 40s.

"One of the men have grabbed her by her rucksack and then pushed her.

"The victim took her phone out and contacted her partner and at this point the men left the area walking towards Newtown Road.

"The victim did not suffered any injuries as a result of the incident. However, the intentions of the men are not known."

One man is described as having a black beard, aged 25 to 35 years-old, 5ft 8ins tall, with a slim build.

He was wearing dark hoody under a black jacket and black jeans.

The second man had no beard and police say he was aged between 25 and 35years-old, 5ft 10ins tall, also had a slim build and wore a dark hoody under a black jacket, black trousers.
