A CHARITY is asking for volunteers to help run its new Carlisle city centre shop.
Cats Protection, which rescues and rehomes stray cats, is due to open a new store on Castle Street in a grand opening event at 10am, Wednesday, March 27.
It's the first of the charity's shop to open in Cumbria.
Currently, the charity’s nearest shops are located in Stranraer, Dumfries and Galloway, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, and Cleveleys near Blackpool in Lancashire.
Anyone that would like to volunteer for the shop ring 07843 696277 or email: tomwatson@carlisle.cats.org.uk
