A new workshop to help Christians become leaders is set to be launched.

The Emerging Leaders’ Workshop is being held in Keswick in October.

Keswick Ministries is working with the Forge Leadership Consultancy Ltd to put on the event, which is aimed at people in their twenties and thirties.

It has been designed specifically around research carried out by Forge Leadership into needs of "millennial leaders".

Simon Barrington, of Forge, said: “Millennials have told us that they can get access to lots of content online, but they really value face-to-face mentoring that is intentional, focused and applied to their context.

"That’s why our emerging leaders programme includes lots of mentoring – one on one and in groups.”

He said the research identified that one issue for young people was the “need for approval and fear of failure”.

He said: “In fact identity is a massive issue, so we spend a significant amount of time enabling leaders on the workshop to articulate their authentic voice.”

James Robson, Ministry Director for Keswick Ministries, said: “We know that there are many Christians in their twenties and thirties who are already in senior leadership positions of churches or leaders in the corporate, public sector and voluntary sector or small businesses all over the UK.

"We, in partnership with Forge Leadership, want to equip them and mentor them so they can grow into their full potential as Christian leaders.”

The workshop will take place from October 5 to October 9.
