A woman in her 80s has been taken to hospital after a two car crash on a main road in Cumbria.
The A689 was closed both ways after the crash, which is on the A689 between Carlisle Road and the A69.
Officers were called at about 11.30am to the crash, which involved a Volkswagen Passat and a Hyundai i10.
A spokeswoman for the North West Ambulance Service confirmed a woman in her 80s - who was a passenger in the Hyundai - was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.
Cumbria Constabulary confirmed the woman was was not seriously injured and was taken as a precaution.
The force confirmed the road has now reopened and traffic is easing.
