Artist Amy Johnson is looking for people to share their memories, stories and iron ore red dust coated objects from the Florence site for a history project.

She said: “We want to capture a true sense of place by recording the stories and memories of those who have visited or worked at Florence Mine or Florence Arts Centre. Whether you have fond memories of working or volunteering at the site, or memories of a cold and bleak school trip, we want to hear them all! We welcome every story; from the significant and life changing to the small and everyday.”

Recording sessions will be held at the centre on February 26, 27, 28, 29, March 1 and 4. An exhibition of the memories will take place from April 4. Contact amyjohnson2@protonmail.com for further information.
