A group of staff and students from Carlisle College will walk the length of Hadrian’s Wall to raise money for charity.
The group of 20 will undertake the 84-mile trek on April 1 to fundraise for Jigsaw, the children’s hospice.
It is a challenging walk that spans from coast-to-coast.
Grant Glendinning, principal at Carlisle College, said: “Personally, I have had colleagues and friends who have benefitted from hospice care.
“As a group, we feel very strongly about championing the work of Jigsaw and we want to help make sure that the children and young adults at Jigsaw receive the best care.”
“We all live in Carlisle and the surrounding area and are keen to support the work of the children’s hospice.”
The money raised from the walk from Bowness-on-Solway to Wallsend will help the hospice to provide vital care for local children.
