A Cleator Moor school has been busy fundraising for two leading charities.
St Patrick’s Primary School mini police organised a dancer dash before Christmas, with all the children being sponsored for the event.
And an amazing £1236.90 was raised for Jigsaw, which is a children’s hospice. The presentation of the cheque took place this week.
A school spokesman added: “We are very proud of raising such a large amount.”
The school also held a second fundraising event before the festive period with some of their Year 6 children organising and running a stall at the Christmas fair.
With the support of parents and families they raised £214.20.
The children picked Dementia UK for their chosen charity and organised the link with the organisation.
They sent off their cheque this week along with a photograph for the charity and the school said they were extremely proud of all the pupils.
