HOW THEY MET: At the Sun Inn, Pooley Bridge, while she was working and he was drinking.

PROPOSAL: In their hotel room during a trip to New York in November 2017.

VENUE: Inn on the Lake, Glenridding.

THEME: Modern with the couple’s own twist.

BRIDE’S OUTFIT: Included a Cathedral-length veil.

HAIR & BEAUTY: Claire and Maria, Unique, Penrith did the hair and Keseme Goodwin, Penrith for the beauty.

GROOMSMEN: David Green, a long-term, Geordie friend of the groom, was best man and wore a suit by Marc Darcy.

BRIDESMAIDS: Jacqueline Irving, Erin Irving and Amelie Speight. They wore dresses from Carol’s Bridal Boutique, Carlisle.

FLOWERS: The flowers were a mixture of the bride’s favourites and were provided by Flowers by Lisa.

RECEPTION: A three-course meal followed by a hog roast in the evening at the Inn on the Lake.

CAKE: The cake was supplied by the groom’s sister and the mother of the bride.

FIRST DANCE: Faded Blue Jeans, Kiefer Sutherland.

ENTERTAINMENT: All Star Disco (Simon Vogt).

OTHER INFORMATION: The bride is the daughter of Martin and Jean Relph and the groom is the son of Jimmy and Marion Jackson. Guests enjoyed sparklers and a glass of Prosecco on arrival and canapés after the ceremony. Alison Horn played the harp during the ceremony and wedding breakfast. The bride and her father danced to Love is All Around by Wet Wet Wet before the first dance.
