Stealing 17 steaks and four Ted Baker gift sets has landed a Workington man in court.
Alan Hodgson, 43, of Rowe Terrace, Westfield, pleaded guilty before West Cumbria Magistrates Court on Friday.
The court heard Hodgson stole four Ted Baker gift sets, worth a total of £95, from Boots in Workington on two occasions, on November 14 and December 8.
He had also stolen 17 steaks from Co-op at Cockermouth, worth £71.50 on November 10.
Hodgson also admitted another theft, of cosmetics, worth £80 from Boots, Workington.
Magistrates ordered Hodgson to do 120 hours of unpaid work, and to pay compensation totalling £246.50.
He must also pay £85 costs and a £90 victim surcharge.
